ARVID LLOYD WILLIAMS
Arvid Lloyd Williams has teamed up with co-author Bonnie
Shallbetter in the sequel to his successful debut novel, Hawk’s
Valley: A Good Place to Die. His extensive research into the
history and geology of Minnesota has inspired this native
historian to create a story that will educate and entertain the
reader. Williams was born and raised in northern Minnesota. He
retired from the Wayzata School District and is an active
contributing member of the Minnesota Historical Society.

BONNIE SHALLBETTER
Bonnie Shallbetter was born in Fairmont, Minnesota and was raised
in Brooklyn Center. She is a graduate of the University of
Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Outdoor Education. She has worked as a naturalist for the Three
Rivers Park District and as an instructor for the Voyageur Outward
Bound School. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling or taking in
the Minnesota seasons and the vast array of outdoor activities
that the state has to offer. She is married and has two sons.
